2025 and 2026 USA Triathlon Sprint and Olympic Distance National Championships is headed back to a fan favorite! Milwaukee has long been a beloved host city for USA Triathlon’s largest annual event, hosting these national championships six times, most recently in 2021-2023 and 2013-2015. The city’s scenic lakefront and world-class infrastructure provide an ideal venue for athletes from across the country, offering a course that is both challenging and exhilarating.
2025 Event Details & Schedule
- Friday, August 8: Kicking off with a 750-meter Open Water Swim, Presented by Synergy, in Lake Michigan, open to all who register, no qualification required.
- Saturday, August 9: The action continues with the Olympic-Distance National Championships (1,500m swim, 40k bike, 10k run) for athletes who have qualified to compete.
- Sunday, August 10: The final day will feature the Sprint National Championships (750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run) and the USA Paratriathlon National Championships, bringing elite and developing paratriathletes together to compete for national titles.
Experience Milwaukee’s Scenic Course
Athletes will race in Lake Michigan’s cool waters, bike along the iconic Daniel Hoan Memorial Bridge and Lake Freeway, and run through Milwaukee’s picturesque Veterans Park, finishing along the shaded pathways of Lincoln Memorial Drive. Milwaukee’s stunning lakefront views, vibrant culture, and strong support from local entities make it an unforgettable experience for both athletes and spectators.
Bike Rental Information:
All bikes must be booked in advance. Simply click the link below to reserve your bike.
We are offering bike rentals for participants racing on Saturday in the Olympic Distance National Championships or on Sunday in the Sprint National Championships. Please note that you must check in your bike the night before your race. Below are the bike rental pickup options:
- Friday Pickup: This option is for those racing on Saturday (Olympic Distance National Championships). Our team will be located near the transition area by the bike support and bag check area. Please ensure you check in your bike at the transition area on Friday to participate in the Saturday race.
- Saturday Pickup: This option is for those racing on Sunday (Sprint National Championships). Our team will be located near the transition area by the bike support and bag check area. Please ensure you check in your bike at the transition area on Saturday to participate in the Sunday race.
Bike Rental Returns: Simply drop off your back with our team near the transition area on your race day (after the race).
Note for Road Bike Rentals:
All our road bikes come with standard flat pedals. If you prefer pedals that are compatible with your cycling shoes, please bring your own, and we can install them on your rental bike.
