Free Helmets

As you may know, participation in the GFNY World Championship requires that helmets with buckled chin straps must be worn at all times. For your convenience, every one of our rentals comes with a Cannondale helmet at no additional charge.

Pick-Up and Drop - off Convenience

When booking a bicycle with Unlimited Biking for the GFNY World Championship, we offer you the option of pick-up and drop-off at the nearest locations for your convenience. Riders may pick-up their bikes at the packet pickup location in fort lee the days before the ride and then drop-off with our on-site team at the GFNY Finish Line in Fort Lee, NJ at the end of the race.

Pedal Installment and Seat Adjustments

Our bikes come equipped with standard flat pedals to meet the needs of most riders. If you prefer your own pedals, we're happy to install them for you—just remember to bring them along when you pick up your bike.

Our on-site team is also available to assist with seat adjustments, ensuring your bike is comfortable and ready for the ride!

GFNY NYC serves as the GFNY World Championship and every May, cyclists descend onto New York City and the starting line on the world’s busiest bridge, George Washington Bridge, which is fully closed to cars for GFNY. The race features the most international peloton in the world with riders from almost 100 nations coming together from all corners of the world to challenge themselves against the clock and fellow riders over the iconic route. GFNY World Championship has become a mecca for road cyclists from around the world.

GFNY is a race and personal challenge. Every rider gets chip timed from start to finish regardless if they compete for the win, to set a personal best or just to complete the event.

Bike Rental information:

All bikes must be booked in advance, simply click on the link below to reserve your bike.

Here are the bike rental pickup options for this ride:

Friday Pickup: 10 AM – 6 PM at PIP Park, 2269 Hudson Terrace, Fort Lee, NJ 07024 during the bike EXPO time. You can check your bike at the secured bike check-in Area. Race day is Sunday so you have an extra day with the bike to get used to it.
Saturday Pickup: 10 AM – 5 PM at PIP Park, 2269 Hudson Terrace, Fort Lee, NJ 07024.
Sunday Drop off: You can drop off your bike after the race back to our team at PIP Park, allowing you to enjoy the finish festival.

During bike rental pickup, we are happy to assist with height adjustments, pedal installation on road bikes if needed, and provide you with a free helmet.

Note for Road Bikes Rentals: All our road bikes come with standard flat pedals. If you prefer specific pedals compatible with your cycling shoes, please bring them with you, and we can install them on your rental bike.

Recogida y Devolución de Bicicletas:

Recogida el Viernes: De 9 AM a 6 PM en el Parque PIP, 2269 Hudson Terrace, Fort Lee, NJ 07024 durante el horario de la EXPO de bicicletas. Pueden revisar su bicicleta en el área segura de chequeo de bicicletas. El día de la carrera es el domingo, así que tienen un día extra para familiarizarse con su bicicleta.

How does it work?

Disassemble your bike and ship it to our professional team of mechanics, who will receive it, rebuild and tune it to your specifications, deliver it directly to the event, and disassemble it again after the event for return shipping

Hybrid Bikes: Comes with one water bottle cage, a handlebar bag, a quick-release adjustable seatpost, and flat pedals.

What is a Hybrid bike?

A Hybrid bike combines features of road bikes, touring bikes, and mountain bikes, making it versatile and suitable for a variety of terrains. Hybrid bikes are designed for general-purpose riding over various surfaces, offering a balance of comfort and performance. They typically have medium-width tires for better grip and stability, an upright riding position for comfort, and a lightweight frame for ease of handling. Hybrid bikes are an excellent choice for casual rides, commuting, and recreational cycling.

How do I select the right bike type for me?

We offer a variety of bike types to suit different riding styles, routes and preferences. Here’s a quick guide:
- Hybrid Step-through Bike: Designed for comfort and leisure, this bike features a step-through frame for easy mounting, an upright riding position, and 2″ wide tires. Ideal for short, relaxed rides.
- Hybrid Straight Frame Bike: Balancing comfort and performance, this bike has a traditional top bar frame and road tires. It’s lighter than the step-through model, making it well-suited for most event routes.
- CAAD Aluminum Road Bike: A performance-focused bike made of aluminum frame and has rim brakes. Perfect for longer or faster rides, especially distances of 50 miles or more. It’s ideal for riders with specific pedal preferences.
- Carbon Synapse Road Bike: Our top-performing model with a carbon frame, offering unparalleled speed, responsiveness, and ride quality. It comes with disc brakes and It’s the lightest bike we offer. Perfect for those seeking maximum performance.

What is the right bike size for me?

Bike sizes depend on the model. When booking, you’ll see size options listed along with the corresponding height ranges to help you select the right fit.

What if I need a helmet but didn’t request one?

Helmets are included at no extra cost. As helmets are mandatory for the event, we ensure there are plenty available for all riders.

What can I fit into the bike bag?

The handlebar bike bag can hold small items such as a water bottle, a set of keys, a phone, and a tube kit. Dimensions are approximately 9 inches wide by 5 inches in diameter, with a zip closure.

Do you provide spare tubes in case I get a flat?

We do not provide spare tubes with rentals. If you experience a flat tire during the ride, we recommend reaching out to the event’s ride support team for assistance. It’s always a good idea to carry a spare tube that fits your bike, as we strongly recommend being prepared for such situations.
