Is Florence a bike friendly city?
Florence is making strides to become more bike-friendly, though it may not be as bike-centric as some other European cities. The city has a growing network of bike lanes, particularly around the city center and along the Arno River. Florence’s compact size and relatively flat terrain make it a great city to explore by bike, especially if you want to visit famous landmarks like the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and Uffizi Gallery.

Can you ride a bike on the sidewalk in Italy?
In Italy, riding a bike on the sidewalk is generally not allowed for adults. Cyclists are expected to use bike lanes or the road, depending on the available infrastructure.
