This tour combines the highly sought after Chateau de Versailles and the beautiful Royal Gardens, highlighted by the unique fountains, groves, and manicured shrubbery that have made them a worldwide sensation for centuries.  The gardens of Versailles have been held up as the standard of French gardening for ages, and you will see why.  Stand at the grande perspective and take in the entirety of the grounds, including the Grand Canal and the 2,000 acres of forestland.  Mozy through the groves with your guide leading the way and learn about why King Louis XIV designed them each in their particular way before heading into the Chateau to discover the interior at your leisure.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour time.
  • This tour involves quite a lot of walking. Please wear comfortable shoes. Apart from the train ride to Versailles, you will be spending most of your time on the tour on your feet.
  • Unfortunately this tour is not wheelchair accessible. Many of the paths in Versailles are unpaved and rough, and may present difficulty for wheelchair users.
