At BRAKING AIDS® Ride we often describe ourselves as family—our chosen family. Many of us—Riders, Crew and staff—have been together on this event for years, even as we welcome and cherish our new family members each year. We look out for each other and take care of each other.
We will gather for the 2-day ride in Philadelphia by 5:30 pm on Friday, September 13th for our Registration Eve activities; Crew must arrive Friday by 12:00 pm. On Friday evening, we include dinner but you’re responsible for your lodging that night and your transportation to Philadelphia. We’ll make it easy with a menu of options in our Pre-Ride Guide, sent about two months before the event.
The Ride begins at 6:30 am on Saturday, September 14th with a brief, moving opening ceremony. You’ll ride about 175 miles over the next two days. You will head north into beautiful and historic Bucks County, through rolling farmland and pre-Revolutionary towns, passing through towns like New Hope as you make your way across the Delaware River into New Jersey.
On Saturday afternoon, our 1-day Riders will gather at our overnight stop and cheer the 2-day riders in to the hotel. Everyone will enjoy dinner together on Saturday evening at our host hotel, and the 1- and 2-day riders will ride out together on Sunday morning as you cap the Ride with a journey through the Hudson River Valley and into New York City for our victory celebration.
BRAKING AIDS® Ride will end with a closing ceremony on Sunday evening, September 15th. Invite your friends and family to celebrate your accomplishment! Pageantry and pomp, laughter and tears. And your first chance to sign up for 2025!
Bike Rental Information:
All bikes must be booked in advance. Please use the link below to book your rental.
You can pickup your bike from our team at 357 W 44th Street, New York, NY 10036 on Friday between 2:30 PM- 3:30 PM. You can then use the shuttle provided by the organizers to have your bike shipped to Philadelphia. Their bike shipping truck leaving around 3:30 PM on Friday.
Pick Up Location for Both one or two day riders:
Whether you’re riding for one day or two days, we offer the same rental options! The BRAKING AIDS® Ride team will make sure your rental bike is ready and waiting for you.
On Friday, September 13th, your bike will be delivered to the braking aids bike shipping truck parked outside 357 W. 44th Street, New York, NY 10036 (just east of Ninth Avenue), we will be there at 2:30 PM. The truck will be heading to the ride start location in Philadelphia at 3:30 PM.
Drop Off Location
Drop off your bike with our team at the finish line at Riverbank State Park on Sunday, September 15 during the closing ceremony.
