Pedal Installment and Seat Adjustments

Our bikes come equipped with standard flat pedals to meet the needs of most riders. If you prefer your own pedals, we're happy to install them for you—just remember to bring them along when you pick up your bike.

Our on-site team is also available to assist with seat adjustments, ensuring your bike is comfortable and ready for the ride!

Pick-Up and Drop Off Convenience

When booking a bicycle with Unlimited Biking for any cycling events, we offer you the option of pick-up and drop-off at the start and finish for your convenience. Riders pick-up their bikes at the start line and then drop-off with our on-site team at the Finish Line at the end of the race.

Complimentary Helmets

As you may know, participation in the cycling event requires that helmets with buckled chin straps must be worn at all times. For your convenience, every one of our rentals comes with a helmet at no additional charge.

What is Cycle for the Cause?

A three-day, tri-state cycling fundraiser that brings together riders, crew, and supporters to fuel The NYC LGBT Community Center and its life-saving and love-affirming programs and services.

Why Ride?

Through peer-to-peer fundraising, every mile you ride powers The Center’s safe, affirming community space that provides vital services for all LGBTQ+ New Yorkers, including:

HIV/AIDS prevention, testing, and care
Identity-affirming mental health services for adults, families, and young people
Youth services providing education, leadership opportunities, and career pathways
Substance use recovery and treatment programs with a holistic healing approach
Arts and cultural programs that foster connection and joy
Advocacy and organizing efforts fighting for LGBTQ+ equality across New York State

Bike Rental information:

Bike Pick Up: Friday, Sept 25 at 6:30 am at Randall’s Island (TENTATIVE location. More information will be provided closer to the event date)
Bike Drop off: Sunday, Sept 27 at 2 pm at 13th Street between 7th and Greenwich

All bikes must be booked in advance. Simply click on the link below to reserve your bike. During bike rental pickup, we are happy to assist with height adjustments, pedal installation on road bikes if needed, and provide you with a free helmet.

Note for Road Bikes Rentals: All our road bikes come with standard flat pedals. If you prefer specific pedals compatible with your cycling shoes, please bring them with you, and we can install them on your rental bike.

Prefer to ride your own bike? Our Bike Shipping Concierge service makes it easy. Ship your bike to us, and our professional mechanics will assemble it and have it ready for you to pick up at pick-up location. After the ride, return it to our team, we’ll then disassemble, pack, and ship it back to you. Shipping costs are not included. Book directly here

What is the Cancellation Policy for Bike Rentals at this Event?

Bike Event Rental Cancellation Policy

Canceling a booking with Unlimited Biking can result in cancellation fees being applied by Unlimited Biking, as outlined below. When canceling any booking you MUST ONLY email to [email protected] to request the cancellation with your reservation details.

100% refund until 90 days before the event
50% refund until 60 days before the event
0% refund 30 days before the event

Official Event Cancellation: If the event is canceled by the organizers for any reason, you may request a 50% refund or a 100% credit back to your account. This option is available at any time leading up to the event and does not change the 100% refund policy available for those who cancel 90 days in advance.

You always have the option to use your credit with us in stores or towards next year’s rental.
